Peter Gomez was President of the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland from 1999 until 2005. During this period, he initiated and led the University's fundamental restructuring process. This included the implementation of the Bachelor/Master System as one of central Europe's first universities and the establishment of an innovative learning architecture to prepare the students for life-long learning and societal responsibility. Since 2005, Peter Gomez is Dean of the Executive School of Management, Technology, and Law at the University of St. Gallen. Moreover, since 2006, he acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss financial market services provider SIX Group. He has published 18 books and over 90 articles and book chapters in the areas of strategic management, organizational theory, managerial problem-solving and university management. He is a frequent speaker to professional as well as societal audiences and serves on the boards of a number of foundations and companies.
