Prof. Dr-Ing Dieter Leonhard is President of the Franco-German University (FGU). The FGU operates more than 140 joint binational and trinational degree programmes in various disciplines, and has a long experience in this field. Prof. Leonhard is member of the French national habilitation commission for the professional master programmes of engineering schools and member of the German National Bologna Expert Group. He publishes regularly on different aspects of joint degrees, in particular with reference to transnational quality assurance.
