Anette Kolmos, PhD, is Professor in Engineering Education and Problem Based Learning, and Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Problem Based Learning in Engineering Education, Aalborg University, Denmark. Dr. Kolmos has a PhD in "Gender, Technology and Education". During the last 20 years, she has conducted research in areas such as the change to a problem based learning curriculum, development of transferable skills and faculty development. She is actively involved in developing the profile of Engineering Education Research in Europe as well as internationally. She holds the Chair of SEFI working group on Engineering Education Research and is SEFI President-Elect 2008-2009 and coming President 2009-2011. Dr. Kolmos is associate editor of the European Journal of Engineering Education, and has served as associate editor for the Journal of Engineering Education.
