Dr David Bottomley, Assistant Head of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in Scotland, has been involved in the development of credit and qualification frameworks for many years. He was secretary to the Development Group for the National Framework for Qualifications of Higher Education Institutions in Scotland, and oversaw QAA work on the verification of the framework against the 'Bologna' Qualifications Framework for the EHEA. He was also a member of the management team for the wider national lifelong learning framework in Scotland (the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework).
