Agneta Stark obtained an LL. M. from Stockholm University, a B. Ec. from Stockholm School of Economics, and a Ph. D. in Business Administration from Stockholm University, where she was also appointed Reader. Her research areas include economic theory, accounting theory as well as gender and economic change. She has been a Marie Jahoda Guest Professor at the University of Bochum in Germany. She was appointed Vice Chancellor to the University of Dalarna in 2004. She has been awarded a Ph. D. honoris causa by Karlstad University. Her current board memberships include vice chair of the Association of Swedish Higher Education, vice chair of the Swedish University College of Dance, and the International Association for Feminist Economics.
