Dr Peter A Zervakis is Head of Bologna Expertise Centre and Service Unit at the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) in Bonn. He studied in Germany and the USA and received his Ph.D. from Hamburg University. From 1992-2004 he was a Research Fellow at Hamburg University, History Department and then at the Centre for European Integration Studies at the University of Bonn. From 2004-2006 he was head of the research project on Enlarged Europe at the Bertelsmann Foundation in Gütersloh, Germany.
