Name | A 1.1-7 The Optimisation of Higher Education in Flanders: a long process |
Description | Author: Luc François The optimisation of higher education in Flanders has been on the political agenda for some decades. As a consequence, the critical mass is said to be too low and the use of the available financial resources not very efficient. In the framework of the Bologna reforms, the discussion about the structure of higher education is used as trigger to continue with further improvements. The ‘Commission- Soete’ recently presented its conclusions to the Minister of Education. One can only hope that the Flemish Government will introduce a benchmarking exercise at international level before taking a decision. No download button available below?
