Carmen Loredana Pop holds a PhD in Sociology from Babeş-Bolyai University (BBU), Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She is an expert on strategic management at BBU and contributed to the elaboration of the Strategic Plans and Operational Plans of the University and faculties. She has conducted studies and research related to the geographical distribution of students enrolled at BBU, the insertion of BBU graduates in the labour market, employees’ opinions regarding graduate competencies; and other labour market and university organizational analyses. Since 2004 she has been deputy director of the Centre for University Development at BBU and chief editor of the Journal for University Development and Academic Management. She has published 12 papers on the topic of academic management.
