Name | B 2.5-3 National Qualifications Framework – Applied to external and internal accreditation processes |
Description | Authors: Karin Järplid Linde, Karl-Axel Nilsson, Eva Åkesson This article discusses the development of external and internal accreditation processes in Swedish higher education, in the light of the Bologna Process and the nationally established qualifications descriptors (learning outcomes) set within a National Qualifications Framework1. By using two examples, namely the External Accreditation Processes for Masters programmes at the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education, and the Internal Validation Framework at Lund University we point out some of the lessons learned: the pitfalls, difficulties and success stories as well as the considerations that arose during the process.
